Aftercare

Northern Winds Veterinary Services has partnered with a local service that provides cremation for pets. If a home burial isn't possible, you may choose to have your pet cremated following euthanasia, and if you'd like, their ashes can be returned to you. Additionally, if your pet passes away at home on their own, we can assist with transport of their body for cremation and return of ashes.

If you choose home burial of your pet, please make sure that you do so in accordance with local laws and regulations around the practice, as contamination of water sources and toxicity to other pets or wildlife are risks associated with burial which must be avoided.
